Mike Goldmark has been a shopkeeper in Uppingham for 30 years. During that time Goldmark Gallery has grown and grown. Over half our business is now mail order with customers all over the world.

ART

We specialise in original prints but also sell paintings, drawings and sculpture. There appears to be no way of constraining Mike's buying and as a consequence the gallery now has over 40,000 items in stock.

We have our own framing workshop where we make frames ranging from the simple oak to the finest hand-made gesso and water-gilded.

FILMS

We have just completed our 5th art documentary, with 2 more in the pipeline. Our next film, on John Piper, will be launched in the Gallery in September together with Frances Spalding’s new Piper biography.

MUSIC

We hold regular music and poetry evenings in the gallery, bringing world class performers to our 60-seat auditorium in Uppingham.

PRINTMAKING

We operate a print workshop in Uppingham with master printer Ian Wilkinson and his wife and assistant Jan, where we make etchings, screenprints and lithographs (we still print from stone).

LUNCH

It is a tradition in the gallery that we all sit and have lunch together each day. You are more than welcome to join us when you visit the gallery... just don’t all come at once.
